We are at that time in December when we start looking ahead to the New Year, planning our marketing, goals and targets.
How do you effectively plan your small business marketing?
We recommend planning ahead by 2 months, giving you plenty of time to get the data of the most popular services or products you provide, how you can improve those products and how you can improve the marketing / customer base further to enable growth of your small business.
If you are using cloud accounting software, you should have these figures pretty easily at your finger tips!
Areas you should review include:
- Branding exposure
- Social media
- Offline marketing & signage
How will your marketing get you those targets?
You now really need to put everything together to deliver a marketing strategy and plan for the year, either in a diary format (e.g. year plan usually at the front or back) or on a digital calendar. When are the most busiest times, when do you need to send out marketing material, who do you want to be your customer, can you grow your business further without taking on more staff / outsourced help. These are queries you need to ask yourself.
We hope this helps, we work with a variety of small businesses and offer a range of marketing services to assist local small business owners if you need our help.
