I have a great social media network, mainly based on Twitter. I help a few clients with their social media networks, here’s a few tips to market your business more effectively through social media.
Use scheduling software:
Not all the time! Use it to include some advertising / promotions and news or blogs, spend a bit of time per day interacting. Its networking, not just a one way street! Scheduling means you can also distribute your content across many platforms at once, saving you time.
Include content from your website:
Don’t just include a link! Include a bite-sized intro to what your link is about…the first sentence (as much as you can fit within the character limits). This helps create a click through to your website content to interested people looking at your post / tweet.
Show what you do…
Tell a story, my choice…photos but tell your audience what you do or show them latest projects you’ve been working on…helping make a connection between you and them!
Repeat but don’t over repeat…
I see some companies repeating stuff daily, it’s annoying…why make me read something that I see yesterday again?! Repeat content from your website or promotional tweets but not every day!
Let me know if you need a bit of help with setting up social media or scheduling content, it’s useful and can be cost and time effective if managed properly. You need to build on your social media strategies a bit at a time.
