What qualifications/insurance do you hold?

We currently hold the A2 CofC qualification, registered as a flyer and operator with the CAA and hold a £5 million public liability insurance (certificate available upon request). We are also going to be doing the GVC course once lockdown eases.

Are there any flight limitations?

We are limited to 400ft high (120m) and up to 500m away (visual line of sight is a must). Flight time is dependent on factors but its approx. 20-25 mins per battery. Flights are weather and location dependent – our “no fly” decision is final. With the A2CofC certificate we must be a minimum of 50m away from uninvolved people (that’s people who aren’t part of the photo/video shoot nor under our control).

Once we pass the GVC & obtain Operations Authorisation (currently waiting until lockdown is eased to attend our flight assessment) it will allow us a minimum separation of 30m from uninvolved people on take-off/landing and 50m on normal flight.

Can you do same day flights?

We don’t promise to undertake same day flights as we must process all the necessary permissions, paperwork and surveys before any flight commences. We always recommend advanced notice.

What is the process?

1. You contact us with what you are looking for. We will then start a desk based site survey and risk assessment to see if its possible. We may have to visit the site if its a complex project.
2. We will send you a quote by email, valid for 30 days.
3. You agree our quote & we schedule the project in.
4. We will need to obtain landowners written permission and look at other necessary permissions / notifications such as neighbours, air traffic control or police.
5. Carry out the project as long as the weather is within our flying conditions. Where it isn’t we will postpone and reschedule ASAP.
